I was looking for some spoons that I could use with my homemade salsa that would drain out some of the juice since that makes for a very messy taco, burrito or tostada. This works great for that and I've used it for other things too. They are very nice looking. I wouldn't put too much pressure on them though. I think they would snap in half if you weren't careful.

I wanted a smaller size slotted spoon and these fill the bill quite nicely.

They aren't really slotted, rather they have small holes that serve the same function...letting the liquid pass thru and leaving the solids. They aren't really heat resistant for high temps but work with foods/liquids up to boiling temp...and that's OK.

They're sturdy, the colors are vibrant and they work as advertised.

And, one thing that's really important to me, they're MADE IN THE USA!

I do like this...however, the spoon is VERY straight and stiff! If they would have made a curve before the 'bowl' of the spoon, it would work better. As is, you have to tilt the pot/bowl to get anything out.
